That WAS cool to see you and hear your voice!

OH MY GOSH!!!!
Your accent is SO strong! LOL I love it.
What a cute little vlog. I wish I knew how to do that. Your bedroom looks so homey with light streaming in and that little chest against the wall. A nice place for magic to happen. LOL

I didn't even know there was such a word called vlog! You DO have an accent are you from the Minnesota area? Can't remember! Great speaking! It was cool to hear you!

Way cool!!! What a wonderful idea...and a neat way to get to know one another on a new level!

Nice to see and hear you. From this Texas boy with a decidedly twang in his voice, you don't have an accent at all.

Janna Leadbetter said...

Thanks, Capri K!

Jessica, that's hilarious! I'm from a part of the midwest where we aren't supposed to have an accent. :P

Anonymous - My super spidey senses tell me you're Terri. ;) More funny! I'd have NEVER thought I sounded like I'm from Minnesota. Though I kept hearing a twang that made me think I sound like Sarah Palin.

Linda - Thanks! I hope others will do this, too.

Travis - A'thank you, good sir. And definitely no twang out of me. :)

I didn't mean to scare you, but sometimes I just drop by unannounced. Thanks for being so gracious >wink<

What a great video idea, Janna! Actually you sound just like I had imagined, very welcoming and friendly. Glad to know you better!

Janna, you are just the cutest! The weirdest part for me is discovering that you and I have similar voices. Not necessarily the tone, but the cadence. You talk like me, weird!

I totally want to post one now.. if we can just dig up a video camera.

Hey Janna, I saw this post of FB and wanted to comment. First, congrats on the vlog post! It was really good. I love the joke about the 'magic'. hehe. Your 'Minnesota Accent' as I call them is really cool. I was waiting for you to finish a sentence with "Don'tcha Know".

Janna! You are too cute! *hugs*

I'm from the Midwest, too, but I swear you had a slight Minnesota accent to my ear, too. LOL!

I'm glad you did this vlog (neat term, never heard it either), and I've played with doing a voice-post type thing myself, for the same kind of reasons.

Might have to think harder about it, now. Great job, Janna!

Love this video! Awesome! I didn't want it to stop! I so enjoyed meeting you "in person"! Can't wait for more videos. Now I'll have to figure out how to do one and post it too! What a great way to get to know my blog friends better!

Wow, that was so impressive. It is really good to hear your voice, indeed.

I also tried recording a vlog once, after seeing how much fun they can be to watch. But mine was horrible. I looked too weird and uncomfortable speaking like that and I gave up on the idea completely. But you look very nice and natural and speak so well. You should do it more often. Maybe a weekly thing.

Cute!

I don't know how you sit on a stool to write. That propped-up-in-bed idea sounded much better!

Janna Leadbetter said...

Hat Chick - You're proof it pays to keep the house picked up! ;)

Joanne - Aww. *hugs* Thank you.

Melanie - Twinkies! :D You have to do one.

Aaron - Coming from you, King O' Vlogs, that's a high compliment. Thank you! And this talk of a Minneso..taoaoaon accent is cracking me up!

Jen - If by "cute" you mean "dorky," then I agree. ;) You have to do one, too!

Janna Leadbetter said...

Lori - It came off a lot more natural than I felt it did, and I was relieved for that. I had to do it 3 or 4 times, because I was nervous and kept flubbing up! You should try it again sometime. It helped to think it was just me right then, and no one would ever see it but me and God - if I didn't want to share it. :D

scarlethue - I definitely couldn't do it too terribly long. But it's a very cute stool! Wish it showed up better on camera. ;)

Aww, you're so sweet-sounding! I think it's a great idea to post our "voices" though I don't have a webcam and not sure how I could do it.

I love the natural light in your bedroom.

Janet said...

Everybody has an accent. I don't hear mine, of course, but I've had people chuckle over it.

I guess yours is generic Midwestern. I'm still getting the hang of American accents. ;o)

When I was in a restaurant in Venice last year, the two ladies at the next table were talking rather loudly, and I quickly decided they were Canadian and that one of them was from Nova Scotia. I found an excuse to strike up a conversation as we left and I was right. The one who seemed to have no accent was from the same part of the country as me. Duh.

Anyway, it was nice to see you in motion and hear you. I can't imagine myself doing it though. I hate posing.

Janna Leadbetter said...

Melissa - Sweet-sounding? Bwah ha ha ha ha... My plan is coming to fruition!

Janna Leadbetter said...

Janet - You got skillz! ;)

Wow! A vlog! That is a great idea! Very cute video too! It is neat to 'hear' the voice with your written words. I like your accent too. :D

Tana said...

That was so great!!!!! How brave and wonderful of you! I feel like I know you now lol. I could write for hours in your lovely room. Thank you so much, I look forward to another great vlog.

Janna Leadbetter said...

Oh stop, Turkey. You're really too much. ;) Thanks.

T. Anne - Wow! What kind words, and I thank you very much.

Lynnette Labelle said...

LOL I'm reading people's comments saying you have such a strong accent, but I never noticed an accent at all. Then, someone mentioned you may be from Minnesota. Well, that explains it. I live in Minnesota. No wonder you sound like everyone else I know. ;)

Lynnette - I had to look back at my comments to make sure, and I realize I never did say. I'm not from Minnesota, though I am from another midwest state that starts with "M." :)

Janna, I love it!!!

What a great vlog. You were SO calm. Was that the first take? If so, you need to be on TV.

Enjoyed this very much.

Janna, love it!! So cute! I know 150 people have already said that, but you totally were! And coming from Southeast Texas where my feet are almost in the Gulf, you very much sound midwesterny! I so want to do this, if I can figure out how to do my webcam...never done it before. Great idea!

Janna Leadbetter said...

FringeGirl - You think? It was the third or fourth try, and I was really nervous at the beginning (and the higher pitch because of it makes me cringe...). But then a calm came over me and it flowed. Yay! :)

Sharla - I just used the video option on our digital camera, and it uploaded really easily! I don't know if I realized you're in TX. Send some heat northward!

I don't want to steal your thunder, as they say, with the awesome vblog, but I would love to do one on my blog. How did you do it? Did you use your computer built in camera and mic or a video camera? Then download to blogger under "add a gadget" video? Thanks for you help! Can't wait to see your next one! email me at donnakohlstrom@yahoo.com if you get a chance. Thanks for your help!

Janna Leadbetter said...

Donna, an e-mail is coming your way!

How cool was that! I was sooo not expecting a vblog entry but it was a nice surprise for sure. Have you ever done one before? You seemed so relaxed with it which is why I asked. I hope to see more of these types.

Great job!

Janna Leadbetter said...

Cel - Thanks! This is my first evah. And maybe I'll do another sometime, since this one when over so well. :)
