What's What

I don't have a true post prepared today - we were out of town and I couldn't whip one up - but the good news is, it's not difficult to thank you. Your comments after Friday's post first surprised and overwhelmed me, and then took great steps in humbling me. Thank you. You're all such very special people, and I rather like that you've joined this online journey with me. I can't appreciate you enough.

***

Wendy Miller recently "gifted" me with five words and I'll be working them into a written piece of some kind for the next couple days. Come back Wednesday, when I'll post the finished product.

***

And Friday I'll talk about Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, which I finished reading over the weekend - and very much loved. I'll tell you what the book's about, and why it was an important book for me to read in regards to my novel-in-progress.

Now smile! It's only Monday. :)

I've been wondering about Water for Elephants. Is this considered literary fiction? Can't wait to learn more.

Happy writing!

Joanne - That's what I'm thinking. Stay tuned...

Analisa - Same to you!

FringeGirl - Indeed. How'd your weekend go? Hope you've got heat!

Tamika - It looks like Amazon categorizes it as literary, but it didn't read that way. I don't think, anyway.

Melanie - Thanks! I'll definitely share. :)

Jody - Absolutely. I love that we can do that, too.

Looking forward to Weds and Fri--I liked WFE as well. Also just read your keloid post. Honey, let me tell you...I have a keloid scar that can scare small children! It runs from the middle left part of my abdomen up to just under my bra line and looks like a railroad track. I had my spleen removed when I was 19 and my surgeon didn't care that I'd never wear a bikini ever again. Talk about self-conscious. I know, I hide it with clothes, but what about when I have to disrobe where others might see me? And how about being intimate w/my boyfriend-now-husband? Ugh, that was horrible. I totally feel your pain, but applaud your courageousness. I'm going to refrain from using the word "never" because that word has come back to bite me several times, but suffice to say, I'm pretty sure I won't be showing the world MY keloid scar! :o)

Melissa - You too! Hope you gets lots done in this inspiring fall weather.

Jill - I hope it will be! For you too.

Deb - Excellent! Sounds like we'll have a great confab.

Amy - Oh goodness, you know what it's all about! I hope yours isn't too uncomfortable, physically. I'm sorry about it.
