I misspelled answer as anwser in the fifth grade, and it lost me the bee. Silly w.
Potassium supplements have banished my daily headaches, and I now deal with just one or two debilitating migraines a month. It's a serious improvement, and I'm very thankful.
Ink pens are few and far between at my house. Where do they all go?
My eyelashes are uber long. (Thanks, Dad.)
My kids are six and four, but I still carry baby wipes. They're just so handy.
I once had desire to play basketball. But I found singing and, later, writing.
Lionel Ritchie, in my book? Rocks.
Those are seven things you probably didn't know about me. Sharla (she's a little salty) made me share, because she gifted me with the Kreativ Blogger award. And because I accept, I'm to pass it to 7 additional bloggers.
Watch how I do this...
You, her, him, you, you, you and her.
Seriously, I'd like each of you to leave your SEVEN in the comments section. And then, should you so desire, post the award (as seen above) on your blog. Here are the official (somewhat breakable) rules:
1) Thank the person who nominated you for the award. 2) Copy the above logo into your own blog. 3) Link to the person who nominated you. 4) Nominate seven others who you deem worthy! 5) List seven things about you that people may not know. 6) Post links to the seven blogs you award. 7) Leave comments on the awarded blogs, letting them know.
Thank you, Sharla! And thank you, all, for your awesome blogs!

Lucky you with the eyelashes! LOL I'm so glad about the potassium. I've never gotten migraines but I have suffered headaches since I was a really little girl, so when you had that headache when we met I felt SO bad for you. I never heard that potassium helps. Interesting.
Not sure there's seven things about me, but:
-I could read all day long
-I eat some form of chocolate every day
-I don't tend to worry
-But I still pay my bills on time because I'm prideful, lol
-I won my fourth grade spelling bee
-Didn't even make it through the first word on the seventh grade bee
:-)
I must have your eyelashes! Harvest and sell them. ;-)
That's a great list -- I may do this tomorrow. :)
I'm lucky in the eyelash department too.
I'm happy to hear that your headaches are more rare now.
Janna: Wow. Thanks! Can I be jealous of the eyelashes without sinning? Really, I'm happy for you. At least someone has them!
Okay, here goes:
1. I am addicted to words
2. I have oodles of versions of the Bible
3. I use a special high-pitched, silly voice when I talk to my kitties
4. When you say my name you are saying "God is gracious"
5. I was named after a preacher's wife.
6. White cake is my least favorite flavor because it's boring.
7. We eat ice cream almost every night for dessert, even in the winter.
Happy Wednesday, Jen
Oh to jeanette who hates white cake! That's my number one.
- I love cats but can't have one cause hubby hates litter boxes and son-in-law is allergic
-Like Jessica--am trying to beat the worry habit--some days I win, some days . . .
- I wish I could be a speaker but am afraid I'd drop over and faint
-I tried out for cheerleading and the color guard and never made it
-but I did make it as a dancer in school
-Finally, I love being married to the man God gave me:) Hope I have a ton more years with him!
Glad you are getting relief from headaches. Please increase the amount of water you drink and see if that helps. My son was under the care of 2 doctors and on strong medication for migraines. I read something that suggested water helps and it worked immediately. That was over 5 years ago and I can count on one hand the migraines he has had in that time. He was getting them at least twice a month and once a week in the summer. Hope water helps you too.
Here are seven things!
I once fought off an attacker on the street who put something sharp up to my neck and said come with me.(I don't think so.)
I could talk about the word of God all day.
My favorite but rare snack is lightly salted cashews and plain M&Ms.
I don't have a driver's license
I hate tomatoes uncooked and I pick them out of sauces. However I love ketchup the sauces made from tomatoes. Go figure.
Brocolli is probably my favorite veggie.
I firmly believe that God speaks to people everyday.
Congratulations! I love your Kreativ solutions!
Congrats on the award! I'm sorry about your migraines. I get them three or four times a year. They are debilitating. I can't imagine getting them as often as you do.
I hope no one minds I cheated!
Jessica - How 'bout a book WITH chocolate all day long?
Becca - Meh. ;)
Melanie - Good!
Lori - Me, too. I can't tell you what a relief it is.
Jen - My name, also a form of John, means the same thing! I knew I liked you. :)
Terri - We're the same with cats. My girls would love one, but my husband is allergic. How long have you been married?
Analisa - I definitely do better when I drink more water, though that alone doesn't fix things. It seems the cure is different for every migraine sufferer, and I wish it didn't have to be so. Hope your son can stay on track with his! - And wow! I'm so thrilled and impressed you got away safely. Thank goodness.
Strange Fiction - Thanks!
Lazy Writer - It's not easy, yet it could still be so much worse.
Janna! Love your 7 things. And thanks for giving me something to write about today. :D
Ahhh, a book with chocolate? That sounds like bliss. :-)
Thanks, Janna. Loved your 7.
Let's see:
1. I dyed my hair blonde when I was a freshman in college.
2. When I was in first grade the teacher said I was "the best girl in the class"--sort of nice, but also embarrassing. I doubt teachers would ever phrase it that way these days; not PC.
3.I had no dates in high school and none in college.
4. I did not get my driver's license until I was 25.
5. I met my husband on a radio show--on the air personal ads. We've been married 24 years.
6. I have always been afraid of dogs.
7. I sing in the shower.
Ok, really? The potassium supplements worked? Because I have headaches every single day, too. Always lurking. Sometimes, they get bad enough that I take something. I may have to check into the potassium thing...
Ok. 7 things.
1) I love dark chocolate - but only the Dove kind.
2) If Daniel Craig asked me to marry him, I would seriously consider it. ;p
3) I have the reverse of seasonal affective disorder - I get depressed when there is too MUCH sunlight.
4) I don't mind my daughter leaving her tent up in the dining room for nearly two weeks.
5) I clean my desk at work once a year (that sounds really, really bad).
6) I will continue to resist Twitter.
7) There are always books I want to read and then forget about.
I misspelled Celcius in the 5th grade spelling bee. I don't even think that's how you spell it. I still can't spell it. Maybe it's right. Who cares? I would just use spell check if I was in Word.
Fun stuff!! I love things like this!
Okay, here’s mine:
I haven’t eaten red meat or pork in 17 years.
I love traveling to new places but hate flying.
I’m first generation American.
When I was five, I watched the house next door being raided for drugs. They pulled out all the dry wall and everything.
I play the guitar and used to play the drums.
I have to be careful about watching scary movies or reading scary books – they give me nightmares.
I was first published in the Los Angeles Times when I was eight years old. Since then it’s been a bit of a dry spell ☺
Congrats on the award! *smiling*
ANd so glad about the potassium....
Hmm seven things:
1.A couple winters agao, I had a "pet" spider...well, it was a spider who took up warm residence in my bathroom and I named him Steve and one day he was gone and I wondered what happened to him *laugh*
2. I hate people putting their bare feet on me ....
3. I once had such horrific nightmares about fire that I was forced to go to a psychologist to help me stop having them
4. I like radishes
5. I don't like cooked carrots
6. I love cheesecake
7. I don't like bread pudding
There! :)
JLC - I really liked yours!
Jessica - Exactly.
Kathy - What an awesome story about how you met your husband!
Melissa - Will e-mail about potassium...
Heather - ROFL!
Nadine - I just love these little tidbits!
Kat - You are far better than I: I could never keep a spider as a pet. Even if he did have such an endearing name as Steve. :/
Answer is a tricky one! I misspelled "indubitably" in the sixth grade spelling bee and didn't get to go to county. Isn't it funny how we remember those tings?
Congrats on the award!
-I would consider it a vacation if I could stay in bed all day in read and not have to get up during the night with a child.
-Raw chocolate chip cookie dough is good for you, I don't care what anyone says.
-I love to spend time in the kitchen as long as someone else does the dishes.
-I've never been in a spelling bee.
-I really just want to live on an organic farm somewhere and simplify.
Fun!
Hey Janna. My containers of baby wipes always dried out on me. I just preferred good old-fashioned wash cloths. I had direct control of what chemicals were on them. And they were washable, reusable, and so easy to tote around in a plastic bag.
Rachel - Yeah, several of us have mentioned the losing words from spelling bees. Interesting, eh?
Kara - Sign me up for that vacation!
Janet - I can definitely see the perks to a washcloth, especially when kept in a baggie. The near-germaphobe in me, though, likes that we can use a wipe and toss it. (Don't tell the green people!)
The whole potassium migraine thing is interesting...glad it's working for you.
7 things! I don't know if I can do it.
-I pick junk out of other people's garbage.
-I never balance my checkbook.
-I hate taking medicine.
-I love technology.
-I can't spell to save my life.
-I can't continue. Sorry. :-(
-FringeGirl
I misspelled ounce in my spelling bee in 2nd grade...spelled it "onse"
And I also misspelled Delaware on a spelling test once and it made me cry because I'd always made a perfect score on spelling tests until then. HAHA :-)
FG - I think you did right fine. :)
Colby - Aw. Funny!
It was great to learn these new things about you. I am a Lionel Richie fan, too.
Deb - What a voice! And he's still handsome.
