Writing on Thursday

Blogger: RAWR!

Friends, I have been floating around and reading blogs and trying to catch up with you all. Commenting, though, is proving muy difficult. This frustrates me, because I like to leave a note and let you know I've been by. This frustrates me, because it ruins my mood for visiting in blogland.

Blogger is not remembering my ID. It wants me to sign in each time I try to post a comment. But I do, and then still, it insists I'm "anonymous." Just when I think, Okay, I'll post this way and clarify who I am within the comment, I am asked to sign in again. It is a vicious, vicious circle, and my comments won't publish.

I guess all this to say I'm still here, I'm still out and about, so know that I visit and I read, even if I can't always let you know I've done so.

Is anyone else having issues like this? Any ideas how to fix the whole deal?

MY TIP TO BLOGGERS: Place your e-mail address somewhere on the main page of your blog. Readers need a way to reach you should there be trouble with the commenting system.

I think it was Jill Kemerer who gave me this tip: When you sign into blogger uncheck the box that says to leave you signed in. I think this fixed the problem I was having.

Hope you're doing well! Blogger can be infuriating. I'm so close to switching to Wordpress.

You know, I have no problem with some blogger blogs, and others make me jump through 178 hoops and STILL won't let me comment!!!On blogger OR my Wordpress account. What up with that??

I agree, it is so frustrating. I always figured it had something to do with how the blog was set up.

I have just given up on commenting on some, and I feel bad about that. Yours has always been a breeze :)

I have the same issue!!!! So, when all else fails, I'll comment on the blogger's facebook page (where I'm typically lead from to reach their blog). I'll put a little note saying, "I tried commenting on your blog, but it wouldn't work. So, I'm commenting here!" Then, I'll rant about it somewhere - either on my blog, like you did, or on my facebook page. LOL It's FRUSTRATING!!!

Welcome to the Land of Lost Comments. We've all taken turns with this in the last few months.

Blogger posted a reason for this. If you go to their page, they'll explain why it is our own fault.

Photo loading has become very labored as well. Need to catch up on your writing. Behind.

What Heather said has worked for me as well.

I prefer the sites now that give a person several options including signing in with Google and just a name and URL--I then can choose the latter and avoid the Blogger glitch.

Janna, I've had this problem in the past. Then someone told me to uncheck the box that says "Stay signed in" or something like that, and that did it!

Maybe it was just me...but I hope it works for you!

Blogger seems more erratic than ever these days.

I think Blogger was designed to help cultivate patience. :) Hope you are doing well!

I had the exact problem today. I was trying to leave a comment, would sign in and wham...back to annonymous and asking me to sign in. I gave up.

I had that same issue earlier on another blog and just now on yours. I have unchecked the box as Heather suggested. We will see how it goes. I was so frustrated earlier today that I gave up trying to comment on my friend's blog.

It's been a long week and I'm tired. I just noticed that my first post actually worked...sigh. So, now I have no idea why it was not working earlier today.

I guess your problem is to do with the manner you are following...anonymously or publicly. Anyway, hope you find a way out. Presuming you've been to my blog...Thank you for visiting :)

Yes, I agree with Heather. I had the same problem, but now that I don't stay signed it-it's fine. You just have to sign on each time you close out-but that's better than not commenting. :)

Thank you for all the tips! It's nice to know I'm not the only one having troubles, and I've unmarked the "stay signed in" box. Will give it a try!
