This weekend my oldest is staying with my parents, and Little One has been puttering around on her own. (She misses Big Sister.) This afternoon she decided to settle in for a rest and Disney's Cinderella.
I can hear snatches of dialogue and music as I move about the house, readying it for this evening's company. Just a bit ago, I heard the mice singing Cinderella's mantra ...if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true... from A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.
And I had the thought to hop on here and share the lyrics with all of you. I think they're important words; ones we should all keep in mind, writers or not.
A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true
...the dreams that you wish will come true
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true
Here's to our dreams coming true.

I'll toast to that!
I love children's movies. And I am with Jenna...I'll raise my glass and toast to that!
I was singing it while reading it. (Turkey.. who thinks she might know Disney movies a little too well.)
That's definitely a sentiment I can get behind.
Cheers!
*lights candle and sways*
I love it, Janna! Disney has some great sentiments like that! I still tear up when I hear When You Wish Upon A Star.
And speaking of Disney shows, my eldest son just returned from the March for Life in DC and told me the entire allegory behind Lion King is totally Biblical. Impressive & original thoughts for a youngster. :)
I've always liked Cinderella.

Jenna and Ang - *clink!*
Turk - Me too!
Jen - It is a good sentiment, cheesy as it is.
Colby - Niiiice.
Spy - Indeed! So many great thoughts from Disney.
Angie - Wow! Talk about deep thoughts.
FringeGirl - Such a good girl, she was. :)
**goosebumps** I still choose to believe in dreams, even if mine is NOT for a Prince but something just as lofty for my own life!
Thanks for the reminder to keep believing! And thanks, too, Janna, for your kind thoughts this past week, they were so appreciated!
MichaƩle - Yeah, who needs a prince, anyway? ;)
Joanne - You're so welcome. I'm just glad she's okay.
That's so touching. :) I haven't watched that in years but it's something to keep in mind.
Of course, since I'm completely obsessed with the Twilight series right now, it makes me think of that. (there are dreams in New Moon.)
