Barbara's Questions

Barbara, from The Serenity Gate, offered several thought-provoking sentence prompts on Tuesday. I think taking the time to finish them is a great way to tune in to the day around us. And they may also serve to boost a little creativity.

Here are my answers:

Outside my window... dusk falls over the beautiful, 60+ degree day we had.

I am thinking... I'd like to have a glass of iced water.

I am thankful for... my daughters. My love for them feels deeper of late.

From the kitchen... comes a chocolatey dessert's call. Janna, Janna! I'm in here!

I am wearing... my glasses, because my right contact lens continues to irritate me.

I am creating... a better me.

I am going... to get that luscious chocolatey dessert and settle in with my book.

I am reading... Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. I'm really enjoying her writing, and I wonder at the fact that I never picked up any of her titles before.

I am hoping... I can keep the headaches at bay.

I am hearing... talk between my three-year-old and husband, as they discuss a tv show together.

Around the house... is comfort.

One of my favorite things... is a good laugh with someone special.

Plans for [the weekend]... include going to a vintage market and antiques expo. I can't wait!

How would you complete these questions?

Ooh, these are great! I may do this for tomorrow's post.

Enjoy your chocolatey dessert! I'm being good tonight. :-(

Vintage! How fun! Hope your weekend is great...and that the chocolate in the kitchen gets eaten only by you :)

Turk - I eagerly await your answers! :)

Melissa - Oh, but I'd totally share my goody!

Stonefox - I hope it doesn't disappoint. Hope you're feeling well, too! :)

I tried Jodi Picoult a while back, but didn't get into it; I may have to give her another look-see.

I've been wanting to read a Jodi Picoult book for a long time and just haven't bought one. You'll have to give us your review.

Yummy chocolate! And I too would like to know where Ms. Picoult has been and why I have not read her!

Can't wait to hear what you think!

Jewel - To be fair, it did take a bit to get into this storyline. And I've heard about the subject matter of others of hers (specifically My Sister's Keeper) that I don't know if I could handle.

Angie - :)

Kat - I hope you get a chance to go antiquing again soon!

FringeGirl - Maybe I will do a review. Thanks! :)

Kelly - I'll share my chocolate, if you get her quick! :P

These are great. Maybe I'll do this for my blog today since I couldn't think of anything this morning.

I'm glad to hear about the water... :)

I haven't read much Jodi Picoult, but I LOVE her My Sister's Keeper.

Just an amazing book. Amazing.

Outside my window... I'm trapped in the prison that is work. No windows.

I am thinking... How can I escape.

I am thankful for... the fact I have a good paying job.

From the kitchen... we don't have a kitchen here but the breakroom has plenty of ice cold Dr. Pepper.

I am wearing... clothes, because they frown on naked employees.

I am creating... new ways to screw off.

I am going... to hide and play on the internet until quitting time.

I am reading... your blog.

I am hoping... nothing breaks so I do not have to do anymore work.

I am hearing... equipment running..

Around the house... does not pay as well.

One of my favorite things... is a day I can stay home and write.

Plans for [the weekend]... going to mass for my son's first communion.

Hmmm, I'm going to answer these, but I'll have to be careful or all my answers will be about food--unfortunately even the one about what I'm wearing. Looks like after almost 50 years I could get fork to mouth without sharing with my shirt!

Melanie - You'd be proud! I've had more water in the last month than the previous two or three. :)

Spy - Really? Well, you make me think maybe I should try it. My mom gave me Second Chances today (also Picoult's) though I haven't read the blurb yet.

Wendy - Great! And go you with the writing/rewriting/resending. Good luck!

Jen - I'd like to see your answers.

Travis - *snicker* I'm really glad the USPS frowns upon nekkid employees.

Amy - *wipes tears* You are too, too amusing. :D

Josh - Do it! I double-dog dare ya. ;)
