While in Florida this last week, I met with Terri Tiffany and Jessica Nelson for dinner (that's the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in the background). It was our second time having done such, and I think we're all agreed in making it an annual sort of thing.
I'm so pleased to know these two women writers. While in real life they're grounded and personable, along writerly veins, they're knowledgeable and encouraging. I very much enjoy talking with them. Above all that, I consider them friends.
If you're not familiar with either woman, visit the blogs linked above. Terri's site is full of inspiration and love, and she always has a lesson tucked away somewhere. Jessica shares her experiences with craft in creative and applicable ways, and she has such an interest in others.
And, of course, you can find a little living at each place, too.
Have you ever met blogging or online friends in person? How'd it go?

Oh, how fun!! Terri is so cool, I just love her! And I'm totally inviting myself to the next gathering. (Except I live on the top of the country, so it probably wouldn't work. Shoot.)
You all look so cute!
I've been blessed to meet Jody Hedlund and Wendy Paine Miller. Both meetings rocked!
Seriously. I'll be there too. ;) I know Jessica and she is amazing. And Terri is a friend in the making.
Glad you're back, Janna.
You three look lovely! Glad the meeting was fun and productive. :O)
Isn't it so cool to meed fellow writers? Glad you three had a great time. Mmmm I haven't had Cracker barrel in years.
What a wonderful experience and a gorgeous picture!!!
I have been so blessed to connect in person, on line, on the phone, and in so many ways with my writerly friends.
It truly is manna from heaven!!
Patti
I'm so sorry I missed you guys!
How fun! I was fortunate enough to meet some blogging friends in February at the SCN Stories From the Heart conference in Austin. So nice to meet people in person that you have a bond with already!
What a great picture! So awesome that you three get to meet and chat. I'd LOVE to be able to do that!
I can't wait to meet my online friends - hopefully sooner than later! Can I interest you in a vacation?
Ooh! I'm so jealous!! I wish I could have joined you! I got to meet some blogging friends at ACFW last Sept. and I've met Jill for coffee. I loved the opportunity to meet in real life!
Sounds like a nice time in Florida. I have not met any bloggers in RL, but it sounds like you all have developed a strong bond.
What a lovely picture! You ladies look like you are having a blast. And Craker Barrel is one of my favorites.
Hmmm...I could eat their buscuits until I'm sick.
I can't wait for the day to meet online writers from this community!
Very cool! I had a follower e-mail me and tell me she lived in the same (small) city. We met up shortly after and now try to meet once a week or so to do writerly talking and stuff. So neat!
This looks like fun.
I haven't met any blogging friends in person yet.
I have thought about attending a blogging conference though.
Hi Janna -
I met a blogger friend at last year's Philly conference. I also met author and blogger bud, Mike Dellosso, at a book signing. It's exciting to get to know folks you've met online.
Blessings,
Susan :)
That's so fun! So glad y'all were able to do that!
I have been blogging for 3 years now and still have yet to meet any of my online friends in person. I hope that changes soon.
No, but we still need to get together! Where has the time gone???? :)
Not yet, but I hope to. Looks like you all had fun.
Sounds like a great time.
I never have, but I am open to it! If you are ever up near The Mitten, we could go thrifting!!!
Love the pic! Great smiles! What fun it was for all of you! Sorry I missed it!
So happy for you all! What a fun reunion.
I've only met one blogger friend, Karin Beery, at the Write to Publish conference last summer. She's a fun, smart lady who watched a hockey match with an agent the first night there, and let the agent's team win! Told you she was smart.
How wonderful! I found you through Terri and I only wish I lived closer so I could join you.
Sounds like fun! I've only met one online friend in person. It was a lot of fun. I was a little nervous at first, but realized that this was a friend that I've been talking with for months, and there was no reason to be nervous. After that little pep talk, I calmed down and things went really well. Glad that you had a chance to visit with some friends! :)
Daaarling picture. No, I haven't meet in person a blogging friend, but how fun would that be! Glad you had a good time. Happy Easter!
Yay! I just had so much fun with you two. You both are wonderful and you make sweet comments about us both. :-)
I agree, this definitely needs to be annual.
Now I'm taking this pic for my post tomorrow. LOL!
this is too cool. I 've followed Terri's blog since I started blogging...She's awesome...I think it's so neat you guys hooked up..Sarah
That picture is SO cute!! Glad you had such a wonderful time. :)
That's awesome Janna! So happy that you enjoyed your time away and got to meet up with friends.

You all look so happy! Would love to have been there with you. There's nothing quite as amazing as spending real time with virtual friends.
That's great! It's fun to connect with people who share your interests and passions. I've never met up with someone in person, but I've enjoyed establishing blogging relationships with other people!
