Look out, 2011!

My motivation for the new year is ready to go, and so why wait? My focus starts today.
`
While in years past I've "resolved" to change just one or two things, I want this year to be big. I want to be proactive in life, in making it what it should be. My goals include taking care of my body, learning how to let go of my preconceived notions and having fun, and writing significantly.`
`
Last July, on a friend's birthday, I declared that I'd be agented by the time her next birthday comes along. It's bold. (At that point, I was editing my second novel.) That's what, seven months away? I'm going to shoot for it. My current WIP isn't far yet, but I want to tackle it ferociously, and finish it in record time. If I tell myself I can, then I should prove it. I want to prove to myself that I can do anything. It's part of my big 2011.
`
Have you put any thought into your New Year yet?

I'm still mulling over what I want to accomplish in 2011. I'm not un-motivated, but I am uncertain as to where God's taking me in this new year.

I like your enthusiasm, and I'm cheering you on! I look forward to reading about your progress and I definitely think you can and will accomplish your goals! Look out 2011!

I'll join you in that boldness and say I want to be agented this year as well.

Thanks for reaching out recently.

Go for it, Janna!

I haven't thought much about New Year's Resolutions...I usually don't make them, but rather resolve to just "do the best I can" all year long. When I do that, I reach my goals easier and don't feel as much guilt.

My only goal is to get pregnant. All other goals merely feed that one goal, including write more and workout and lose weight and make more money and all that stuff. :-)

It's good to see your vivacious love for writing hasn't slowed since I've been offline:)

Good for you Janna! The best is yet to come!

Janna you can do it!!
I'm hoping to do even more writing this year, put together a family cookbook for a fundraiser for MS, and be better organized in the homeschool arena:)

Go Janna GO!

My goals are to sell the two books I have on submission and see that Natasha is pregnant this time instead of me.

My goals are to eat right and take care of my body and to actually submit pieces I've written.

I am going to be totally BORING and say I need to lose weight and strengthen my nonestistant core. My back would kiss and hug me.

I believe you, you know. I did this once a few years ago, put it down! Demanded it of life. And you know what? That year I became part of a writing group and published a piece in a book. The strange thing is that I realized after that that wasn't actually what I had wanted. What happened all around this was that my life pivoted. I began living with my eyes open. That is actually what I had asked for without realizing it. It was cataclysmic. I'd say be careful what you wish for but I don't mean that. Really what I mean is just be open for all of the residual cataclysms, for they might hold more for the soul than what you think it is you want.

But then again, this is just my story. Yours will be new.

I wish you all the best in the New Year and hope your holidays have been brilliant.

Way to Go Janna! Setting goals and writing them down is scary but exciting at the same time. And there's no better time to start than the present! Good Luck in 2011!

Great goal! All can be accomplished with a heartfelt intention and disciplined work. You got both going on!

YES! You can do it. I know that your talent combined with stick-to-it-iveness (*is that a word) will get you to your goal.

Good girl and happy new and productive year,

I need to. I failed at most of my New Year's goals last year, but I will try again. Also, you have a mention in my new video...

You can do it! The only goal I've set at the moment is the getting healthier one. I goofed off since summer and my body shows it. It's time to get some exercise and eat lots more veggies! My writing goals are the same, keep on trying, every little success is one step closer to the big goal of a traditionally published novel!

Hi Janna -

I love your enthusiasm and determination. :)

Yes, I've given my goals for 2011 some thought. You've inspired me to not wait until the calendar rolls over, but to get started now.

Blessings,
Susan

I'm very good at thinking, not so good at doing. LOL
Woohoo for your goals! I hope everything goes wonderfully for you!

Janna, that's an awesome goal. Best wishes with that. I'll be watching to see how it goes.

For the New Year I want to keep up the good stuff that I started in the last two and a half months as well as take regular exercise.

Go for it, Janna! Good luck in 2011. I am going to edit three novels and hope. I keep fiddling with them, but want them out there in the big wide world.
Time to get serious!

Good for you, Janna!

I'm gonna go with the get pregnant goal. It's not likely to happen at this house and if it does, what a story it'll make!

Other than that, I've got some long projects to think about. How bad is it that at 51, it's easier for me to talk about having a baby than writing a book!

Good for you! You CAN do anything.

Me, I'm really just trying to get out of 2010. It's been a tough year, and I'm honestly having a difficult time seeing the purpose in it all. My prayer for 2011 is that we will all be healthy and living abundantly.

Here's to 2011!

I hope you achieve all your dreams in this coming year. Thanks for being a good bloggy/facebook friend. Hopefully we'll get to have some fun in 'real life' one day.
