Random Question #11

`
What makes you happy?
`
I am unsure of this picture's original source. Have you seen it before?

It looks like something from one of those self-help books. Being with my kids makes me happy! From being able to make other people happy! From holidays! From the sea! From so many things it seems...even getting blog comments gives me a buzz!

What makes you happy, Janna?

Paying my bills, having good friendships and family and doing what I love!

I have been thinking about this a lot of late...Family, Friends, and writing = those are my hapiness makers.

I've never seen the picture before, but I love it! As for what makes me happy? A clean house. (Very sad how rarely that happens.) Having just finished exercising. Not having to go to the doctor for a physical today. That would make me very happy!

I find the one "do you want to be happy" and it leads to No interesting!

:-)

But, I am happy -- I feel very very fortunate in so many ways, and compared to the first part of my life, well, that makes it all the sweeter.

My family, a somewhat clean house, and having written.

For me it's family and friends, food, life balance, and creativity. Sometimes they overlap.

That is so vague a question. It could change from minute to minute. This week with hormones.... not much is making me happy... :O)

Going fast in a boat.
Starbucks Java Chip.
A really great story idea.
God & loved ones.

Yep. That about sums it up. ;)

Cherry Coke (which they don't have in Canada), Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, cuddling with my husband, reading a good book, watching the sun set over the river, dreaming of the future, writing a story that demands to be told... I could keep going. :)

my kiddos started back at school today...they were ready to go and I thought it would make me happy, but I'm feeling kind of sad instead.

but, in general...

seeing my sweetie walk in the door
a hug from my kiddos
chores done w/out complaining
writing
blue skies

That's a great picture. Concise.

I've lived unhappy and this is definitely not it, so, yeah, I'm happy.

The easy things like everything going well with my family, good health, kids having good attitudes :), good food, money not being too tight...

But actually I've found that if I get myself back in center with God, I am unbelievably happy...and those other things fall into place on their own.

Family and friends -- everything pretty much flows from there.

Knowing my kids are all on track and doing well, being deep into the WiP and unable to stop, when all the chores are done, a particularly moving homily, great absorbing books, fine poetry, doodling with the Sharpies, endless cups of coffee, blogging/tweeting/fb'ing at leisure, friends, memories of my mom, when those I love find success...these are a few of my favorite things.

Ha, right now it is simple as between 8 pm and 8:30 pm when the twins are put to bed.

What makes me happy? So, so many things, little things. Dark chocolate and a Diet Pepsi. A good book. My daughter's laugh. My relationship with God. My husband's kisses. My family's love. My friends. My long walks in the evening next to the duck pond. And writing, of course!

Writing, reading, gatherings around food, time with my brothers, my husband and a small handful of friends, walking, anything nature related, and any event no matter how small that shows me God's love in some way.

The thing that makes me the most happy is knowing everyday, hour, minute and second I am loved very deeply by God. When I feel frustrated with myself, I say God loves me. It brings a smile to my face.
