Something She Got Excited About

It's a cheesy post title. But I'm really chipper today! And my cheesiness can't be helped.

After school we'll be headed out of town for a weekend in Minneapolis. Traveling with my family always gets me excited, and here are some reasons:

*I love setting out on an adventure, knowing we'll build great new memories with our daughters
*Staying in a hotel peels my banana
*Eating out every meal? I am so.there.
*I get to load my totebag full of books and notebooks and pens and neat office supply fetish stuff (and the laptop), with lofty (and unattainable) goals of both reading and writing 'til I've had my fill
*I eagerly anticipate snapshots I can stow away for later use
*Shopping!
and
*We get a break from it all

So I'll be back Monday. In the meantime, tell us what you like about traveling.

Have a great weekend!

Have SOOO much fun! We love to travel and could do it all the time if we could. I love having new experiences and watching the people and forgetting about our day-to-day life. Enjoy!

Basically I like what you do. Hotels, restaurants...

Terri - Thank you!

Jessica - It just makes me feel a little more pampered than normal, ya know? ;)

Wendy - We're looking at more fun than education this go round. (We always hit the museums in Chicago.) But it should be great!

Kat - Thanks, I think we will. And thanks for posting my entry!

Linda - Thank you, hope you have a great weekend.

Donna - I can't tell you how much I appreciate the prayers. There's always that little bit of me that worries over stuff.

Melanie - Yay!

May all of your traveling goals come to fruition! Love going away from home just for the fresh perspective and chance to write/think off the hampster wheel. Being with friends is soul-feeding too. And when it's travel with writing friends to a conference...Yeehaa!

Oh, you're going to have soooo much fun. I love to travel. It's the scenary Jim and I like.. the adventure of the trip. And eating at new places, viewing wildlife, and just plain getting out and about.

We went on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago and hope we can go again soon.

Also, I know exactly what you mean about the office supply fetish. I've had one since I was old enough to write. What's that all about, anyway?

I LOVE weekend adventures! Well, when I don't have to work on a Monday, that is. :-)

Best thing about traveling...the possibilities! You just never know what might happen.

Have a WONDERFUL trip, Janna!

Oh, so many things are fun about traveling - The coffee stops, discovering new towns and homes and antique shops, the beaches we go to, the photographs I take, the music playing in the car, and the list goes on! Have a wonderful weekend, enjoy every moment.

Hooray for hotels and eating out.

I love going to libraries in different cities.
I love not having to wash dishes.
I love watching my kids have fun.
Such a treat to the senses.

I came to this blog right after reading Colby's blog post about bananas, so the "peels my banana" comment made me grin too.

Have a great trip and come back soon! :)

After two major trips last year (Louisiana for me for a girls trip to the Steel Magnolia filming sites and a cruise with hubby), I am feeling not excited about traveling more but when I do, I will be more at ease with it. All the rules regarding what you can bring on the plane and all that jazz, it makes sense now and makes that part of travel easier.

Hello Janna! Hey, could you email me your address? - I want to send you and the others who wrote your wonderful words but didn't get the book just a little thought.
